- An emergency kit is brought along for every cave initiation, to be used only in the event of an incident. This kit contains: two rescue blankets, a SAM splint and adhesive tape, a pressure bandage, an emergency candle, a lighter, and some food and drink.
- An introductory harness and a helmet are provided for each participant in the introductory caving session. Test the lights on the helmets before bringing them along. Bring one extra helmet.
